Baby Cosima Shower

Winnie the Pooh was the theme for my sister-in-law's baby shower. Vanilla cake with vanilla buttercream decorated in typical "Pooh" fashion...with honey pots and bees! My goddaughter Cosima Grace was born on March 16, 2011. She is so precious! My baby...Bailey (who is now 17)adores her. Oh...I forgot...was this description about a cake?

Crepe Myrtle Festival

This cake was an original design for the Crepe Myrtle Festival held at the Convention Center in downtown Raleigh. It was their 30th anniversary! I made their "helping hands" logo out of fondant and placed on top of the cake. Terry helped me to deliver it and I kept praying in the car that it would not fall before we made it there. I think someone should make a "cake delivery in progress" sign to hang in the back window of cars. Everything here was so beautiful! The flowers for the festival were designed by Bill Donovan and they were ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS! If you ever need flowers for an event...call me for his number.

Monogram Wedding Shower Cake

Ashley ordered this cake for her sister's monogram themed wedding shower. The colors on the cake and the "B" font matched the shower invitations. I can't take credit for the cute little bags in the background. I heard it was a great celebration. Many years of wedding bliss and good health to you Blair!

Zebras on the Loose!

We celebrated my friend JJ's 40th birthday at the Angus Barn. I decided to make her a special cake and believe it or not I was inspired by a pair of her shoes! She was surprised and a great time was had by all...dancing, singing and of course...eating cake! The blue cake was designed for another client.

Daisy Cupcakes

Jason ordered a dozen daisy cupcakes for Robin's bithday. They were vanilla cake with fresh strawberry buttercream icing with a fondant daisy on top. I love daisies too Robin! So simple but yet so beautiful. I wrapped each one with a white garden gate. Hope you had a great day Robin!

Mother's Day Tea Cupcakes

An exact count at the end of the night...435! These were cupcakes for the Mother's Day Tea at Richland Creek Community Church. I had so many wonderful helpers in the church kitchen that night. We had batter and icing up to our elbows but it was so much fun and well worth it. Bridget Dinglasan made the chocolate truffle sidekick. All in all it was a beautiful event.

First Holy Communion Cake

I was so proud of Skylar and Cierra on their First Holy Communion day. They looked so beautiful in their white dresses and veils...just like little angles. They chose the colors of the diamonds on their cake. Skylar chose green and Cierra chose purple. It was vanilla cake (my special recipe) and real vanilla buttercream icing. Yum!

Alligator Cake

Happy Birthday Brady and Preston! My neighbors had a joint b-day party and had Dan the Animal Man come for entertainment. They requested an alligator cake...a big one! He measured 4 feet long and was created with cream cheese frosting (green) and red velvet cake so when you cut it it was a bloody mess! Excellent! Totally...boy. Actually it was their mother's idea.
